How do I connect a child to my phone?: The child's device shows a QR code. On your own phone, choose to add a family member and scan it. If the camera acts up: below the QR code is the same code to type in (ten characters in the format ABCDE-FGHJK). Upper or lower case and the hyphen do not matter.
How do I get into the settings on my child's device?: There is a faint gear at the top right. Hold it for a good second. Three numbers then appear spelled out as words: type those numbers on the number pad. A short tap on the gear does nothing, and that is on purpose.
My child checked in, but I didn't see anything.: With the app closed, the check-in arrives as a notification. Check two things: in the app under “Your profile”, the “Notifications” switch must be on, and in the iPhone settings under Notifications → WalkyPop, notifications must be allowed. While the app is open, the check-in appears directly on the card.
How do I cancel WalkyPop Plus?: Through your Apple account settings: Settings → your name → Subscriptions. We cannot cancel a subscription ourselves, since the contract runs through the App Store.
I already paid, but my new phone still shows the lock.: Both the purchase screen and the lock screen have “Restore purchases”. For that, the device must be signed in with the same Apple ID that was used for the purchase. Switching from iPhone to Android does not carry the purchase over: that would take an account, and WalkyPop deliberately has none.
How do I delete all my data?: At the very bottom of the adult view: “Delete this phone and all data”. On Apple Watch the same entry is called “Reset watch”. Both are final.
Does WalkyPop track my child's location?: No. WalkyPop processes no location data and never even asks for the permission. The app tells you THAT your child has checked in, not where they are.
